It is a peaceful stretch of water in a natural reserve in Alta Brianza Comasca. Its shores are populated by a rich and beautiful nature to see. It will be nice to walk along the forest path and reach the lake where you can admire the fauna that populates the reedbeds and fish. The lake is suitable for swimming and is one of the lakes with the purest water in Italy.

Lake Como is famous all over the world for its beauty and for the picturesque villages nestled on its shores. The lake is one of the most important in Lombardy and its shores are full of enchanting views among villages, villas and lush gardens. The lake can be explored thanks to boat trips: perfect for a visit to the villas and their gardens. But that’s not all: the lake area is also an ideal destination for those who love water sports, such as sailing, rowing, windsurfing.
Without forgetting the city of Como which is rich in art, beautiful landscapes and the characteristic Brunate Funicular: a must if you want to enjoy a fantastic elevated view of the lake.

Milan is a multipurpose city that needs no introduction. One of its symbols is the Duomo di Milano, immense, Gothic style, which is amazing for its grandeur and height. You can in fact climb to the top and admire the city from above. The Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II, full of stores, restaurants, bars and clubs is another symbol of the city.
The Teatro alla Scala is also a must-see, as is the Sforzesco Castle.

Bergamo is another city to explore slowly. It is a true mix of history, culture and art that culminates with the medieval old town center. Places to see in the city are the Donizetti Museum and the walls, which are UNESCO World Heritage Sites. Starting from downtown Bergamo you will have the opportunity to climb on a funicular that connects to the upper city, which is the oldest heart. Piazza Vecchia is the fulcrum of this trip to ancient Bergamo: from here you can wander through the many streets of the village and also taste the typical local delicacies.
Excursions or walks in the area
There are many hiking trails around Camping Montorfano and many paths that can easily be covered as a family. Below are a couple of them:
Capanna Mara 1125m
Starting from the nearby town of Albavilla, it is possible to reach the beautiful Capanna Mara refuge, situated above Alpe del Vicerè, between the Bolettone and Palanzone mountains from where you can enjoy an incredible natural panorama. The path is very spacious and ideal to walk with children. It takes about 40 minutes to complete this path.Brunate – Monte Bolletto
Arriving in Como you can then continue to Brunate taking the characteristic funicular, or you can also arrive by car, but it is very difficult to find a parking space. When you get to Brunate you have to reach Volta’s Lighthouse which is a Landmark in Brunate, in the hamlet of San Maurizio di Brunate, you can take a shuttle or you can easily get there on foot in about 15 minutes, but the road is quite uphill.After enjoying the spectacular view from Volta’s Lighthouse, we can set off for our walk. From here the walk takes about 1 hour fifteen minutes, up to Mount Boletto with optional continuation to Mount Bollettone.
The first part of the walk is rather uphill after which a relaxing walk on level ground that passes through several huts begin: all of them are equipped with outdoor tables where you can admire the view in the middle of nature comfortable to reach.
Once you pass all the huts, there is a last uphill stretch to get to the top of Mount Boletto.
It is about 1200 meters high and offers a beautiful view of the two branches of Lake Como and Lecco. You can then decide to rest or continue to Mount Bollettone or beyond, It's a simple walk from here.

Starting from Piano Rancio, Rifugio Martina is a 25-minute walk away. Here you can enjoy the typical dishes of our tradition at fair prices.
From its 1300 m. altitude you can also admire Lake Como in all its splendor.
If lunch has given you the right charge and you are full of energy, then you can continue with your walk until you reach the top of Monte San Primo, the highest of the Larian triangle!
A spectacular view of both branches of Lake Como awaits you.
Valle Intelvi and Alpe di Blessagno 1100 mt

• Travel time: 30'/40'
Surrounded by greenery we find the charming farmhouse Le Radici, which offers the opportunity to take a walk... a blade!
You will then have the opportunity to enjoy the wonderful view of Lake Como, as well as the mountains; admire the famous and majestic Monte Rosa in total relaxation and great company. The farm is easily accessible from the village of Blessagno only with 4x4 jeep or via the shuttle service provided by the hotel at only 2 € per person. If you love trekking, follow the path to the top in just 30/40 minutes.
The destination is really lovely, but the journey to reach it can also be fascinating!
There is an interesting alternative route that combines lake and mountain: the cable car! Starting from the shore of Argegno you can reach the top of Pigra; from here you just follow the indicated path to the Blessagno Alp and in 45/50 minutes you will reach the farm Le Radici.
